45 % TESTS AND QUIZZES - Including all tests and quizzes but not the semester or final exam

35 % HOMEWORK - Includes all assignments collected and any oral assignments

15 % PROJECT - There will be one project each quarter which will be evaluated in phases.

5 % NOTEBOOK - You will be required to keep track of all notes, handouts and assignments

To calculate your grade:  (TEST AVG. * .45) + (HOMEWORK AVG. * .35) + (PROJECT AVG. * .15) + (NOTEBOOK AVG. * .05) = GRADE AVG.

Grade averages are rounded to the first decimal place and may be positively influenced by class participation, effort and general attitude towards class.

Extra credit projects will not be given - DO NOT ASK.

 TESTS:

·         All tests and quizzes are to be taken on the day announced.

·         Students will be notified in advance orally and on the board of all upcoming tests.

·         Any student absent on a test day will be expected to contact me upon returning to schedule a time for a make-up. You will have the same number of days to make it up as you were out.

·         Failure to make up a test within the allowed time will result in a zero.

 HOMEWORK:

All homework assignments are worth ten points unless I tell you otherwise.

Two points will be deducted for each day late except in the case of absences.

When absent, YOU are responsible for getting assignments and you have the same number of days to complete them as you were out.
