During the past year...
One of the orchids
We had two trips in during January. One was early for a last look a the holiday decorations and gingerbread houses. The other was a bit later to check out the orchids.
A Blue Morpho checks out Bob
We stopped in to see the butterflies. Bob's red coat was a real hit.
End of Day 2
Since Bob was in session at school, we had a whirlwind trip to Anaheim for some warm weather and lots of Star Wars.
We took Cheryl's mom on vacation to the Southwest with stops at Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, the Grand Canyon North Rim and the Las Vegas Strip. More pictures are available here.
One big ant
Big Bugs! David Rogers' sculptures were on display for the summer.
|Ohio Renaissance Festival
The Swordsmen Show
We remembered the camera this year for our annual trip to the Renaissance Festival for all the usual friends and fun.
Darth Vader and General Grievous
We went with the old stand-by, Star Wars characters, for our pumpkins this year.
One of the carved pumpkins in brine
After the Donut Run, we stopped to see the scary plants and vegetable carvings. Makes our pumpkins look tame.
Along the Hemlock Gorge Trail at Mohican State Park
When Bob found he needed to attend the annual teachers' convention in Cleveland, Cheryl decided to take vacation and travel with him. During his off times, we found plenty to do including a visit to the Cleveland Botanical Garden, dinner and a show on Playhouse Square with Josie and John and a couple nights in a cabin near Mohican on the way home.
Londondale Road in Newark
Once we started looking, it didn't take us long to find a house that we love. We'll have more space (and more bathrooms) only a couple of miles from where we've spent the last 19 years. Closing was December 4th and moving may still be in progress depending on when you read this.
