During the past year...

June 2018

In June, we added four more states to our visited list. We flew into Denver and made a driving tour through Colorado, Wyoming, South Dakota and Nebraska. See a few highlights below or check out all the stops.

Rocky Mountain National Park

Devils Tower

South Dakota

Scottsbluff National Monument

Lots of Trips to the Theater

Music, Song and Dance

We had a number of season subscriptions which took us into Columbus for Broadway Across America, the Columbus Symphony, New Albany for the orchestra and here in Newark for the orchestra and plays at Weathervane.

Although Bob didn't run any games this year, he still attended Origins. Cheryl's up to attending three out of four days of the convention. The board game collection in the basement keeps growing.
Bob Con
April 2018

The garage got its big clean up in time for Bob Con where Bob was able to run his Endor scenario. The rest of the day followed in the house with more board games to celebrate Rome's birthday.
Franklin Park
Multiple Trips

At the time of writing, we had made four trips in 2018 for the various displays with plans to check out the Christmas decorations before the year's end. Cheryl's mom and boyfriend accompanied on several trips using their reciprocal passes from the Cleveland Botanic Garden.
Hocking Hills

On a hike

We had a weekend getaway at a rental with a hot tub on the deck. Marius and Argos got to go along and enjoyed a couple of hikes.
At Work
With the start of the school year, Bob is in his 26th year of teaching at Newark Catholic. All the kids have iPads in the classroom this year, so some new things to try.
Cheryl is still at Owens Corning (Year #19 or 22, depending on how you want to count the contracting years). It was a busy year in Sustainability. In the fall, she got to travel to a couple of conferences - Fort Collins, Colorado and Chicago. A new boss & some organizational changes were announced recently, so 2019 will surely see some new things as she'll be splitting time between two groups within Sustainability.
